Touch Deutschland e.V. is a member of both the Federation of International Touch (FIT) and the European Federation of Touch (EFT). FIT is the international governing body for Touch and is based in Sydney, Australia. The EFT is based in Paris, France and is the governing body of the sport in Europe. As a member of these two groups, Touch Deutschland is committed to carrying out the sport in Germany according to the international Touch regulations.
Our main goal is to facilitate and promote the development and play of Touch Rugby in Germany.
Touch has existed in Germany since 2003. Touch emerged around the same time in Berlin and Munich, where a small group of players, led by an Australian and a New Zealander, began playing the sport. Since then the sport has continued to grow throughout the country.
The Touch Deutschland Sportverein e.V. (TDSV) was established on January 24, 2005 in order to establish the sport of Touch in Germany and to represent the interests of Germany's various Touch clubs. On May 9, 2005, TDSV was officially entered into the association's register at the district court in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

Who can become a member? Typical members of our association are either sport clubs, or Touch divisions of larger sport clubs. However, individuals can also acquire membership, especially when Touch isn't offered in their city.
